Charlie Chen is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development and marketing efforts for Huawei's next generation telecommunications network solutions in North America.

Since being recruited by Huawei HQ in 1998, Chen has held numerous leadership positions with Huawei in North America. Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Manger for Huawei's Wireless Product Line and directed all sales activity for Huawei's wireless portfolio and wireless research centers across the United States. Earlier responsibilities included the direction of specific Huawei product lines and research groups, including the CDMA and GSM.

In addition to publishing numerous industry articles, Chen holds numerous patents. He earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree in electrical engineering from Shandong University in Shandong, China, and a doctorate in electrical engineering from the South China University of Technology in Guangzhou, China.
